Gorgeous

Days of dolls and dandelions
envision evening elegance

The image tells her who to be
the mirror reveals the way

Pursuing perfection, she pouts
Wondering at womanly worries

Her delicate innocence rejects
glamorous sophistication

Fidgeting fingers fondle
chasing her charming chin

She's learned this is beauty
and made this her quest

Abandoning adolescent apathy
to aspire to adult artifice

Beautiful. The situation and the mood is one I think every little girl can relate to -- between childhood and growing up, still young enough, but some of that naivete has faded. I love how you captured all of it with these wonderful words.
